A teenager was skiing in the Alps three days ago when he went off-course to ski back to the bottom of the mountain. As he made his way down, he was caught in a violent snowstorm and fell into a deep ravine. He slept for about six hours and continued following the ski lift supports down the mountain, at one point crossing through water up to his neck. He was eventually found stuck waist-deep in snow suffering with hypothermia. Rescuers noticed he did not have proper equipment for traveling off course. The teen is expected to survive.
