On October 15, the state of Nevada ruled that playing fantasy sports was a form of gambling. The state ordered websites like DraftKings and FanDuel to shut down right away because they were operating without a gambling license. The sites mentioned above consist of placing bets on sports with people that you know and sometimes, even people you don’t. You have what’s called a “fantasy team” and depending on how well the team does, you can win money. But, you don’t win money if you don’t bet money. As of now, DraftKings has continued to operate.
